Japan's top business lobby to back pay hikes for inflation-hit workers

TOKYO -- The Japan Business Federation, or Keidanren, will urge member companies to raise pay next spring to offset the impact of rising prices on workers, Nikkei has learned.

Japan's top business lobby will unveil Monday draft recommendations that will guide companies during next spring's wage negotiations. Final guidelines will be issued in January.
