TOKYO -- Japan's gross domestic product declined an annualized 1.4% in November from the previous month, marking the first drop in two months, according to an estimate released Monday by the Japan Center for Economic Research.

The think tank said the fall was mainly due to a decrease in exports of services, which had temporarily risen in October, adding that there was also a downward trend in goods exports, including auto shipments.
