TOKYO -- Business sentiment among Japan's large manufacturers stayed flat from the previous quarter, according to the Bank of Japan's latest Tankan survey, released on Tuesday.

The headline diffusion index (DI) among large manufacturers was at plus 13 for the July-September quarter, compared with plus 13 in the April-June quarter. The median forecast in a QUICK survey of economists was plus 13.
