Japan's GDP expands 1.8% in October: JCER

TOKYO -- Japan's real gross domestic product grew 1.8% in October from the previous month, marking the fifth straight month of economic expansion, the Japan Center for Economic Research said Friday.

Domestic private demand lifted GDP, according to the center's estimate. Capital expenditures rose 4.1%, while consumer spending climbed by 1.1%.
