KUALA LUMUR (Nikkei Markets) -- Malaysia's central bank Wednesday kept the benchmark interest rate unchanged as expected, drawing comfort from steady economic growth and moderating inflation this year.
Bank Negara Malaysia's monetary policy committee held the overnight policy rate at 3.25% at the second of the six scheduled meetings this year, the central bank said in a statement. The decision matched the prediction of all nine economists surveyed by Nikkei Markets.
