MANILA -- The Philippines has downgraded its 2024 economic growth expectations after devastating typhoons hit the country's core agricultural sector in the second half.

The government now expects gross domestic product growth to come in at 6% to 6.5%, adjusting from the 6% to 7% it previously expected, economic managers of the Ferdinand Marcos Jr. administration said on Monday.
