Bribery scandal turns up the pressure for group to clean up its act

SEOUL Son Young-ho vividly remembers when he first joined Samsung Card two decades ago. It was a cold January day, but he could not feel it.

"I was so proud to be starting my career at Samsung, with its office in the center of downtown Seoul," said Son, now 44. "I felt like my future was guaranteed."
