BANGKOK -- Thailand and Indonesia will set up a joint government committee to promote bilateral trade, the countries' leaders agreed on Monday, as global uncertainties cloud Southeast Asia's two biggest economies.
"The two countries will create a strategic partnership and stand ready to strengthen cooperation to benefit the people of Indonesia and Thailand," Thai Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra told reporters after meeting with Indonesian leader Prabowo Subianto, who made his first official visit to Thailand.
