NEW YORK -- Chinese warehouse operators are expanding leasing in the U.S., driven by flourishing cross-border e-commerce and an uncertain future for duty-free treatment of low-cost packages.

Chinese logistics companies led growth in key distribution hubs in areas such as southern California and central New Jersey last year, analysts say, in part due to the success of online shopping platforms that ship goods from China.
