TAIPEI -- China's Wingtech Technology, an emerging MacBook and iPad supplier, is rushing to sell off operations related to Apple and Samsung weeks after being added to a U.S. trade blacklist.
Wingtech, which has been aggressively expanding its footprint in the Apple supply chain in recent years, says it plans to sell its non-semiconductor assets to compatriot Luxshare, a major iPhone assembler. The deal would make Luxshare the first Chinese tech supplier to produce a comprehensive range of Apple products, including smartphones, wearables, computers and other devices.
