TOKYO -- Japan's point man in tariff talks with the U.S. will travel to Washington on Wednesday for the next round of discussions, which is expected to go into more specifics on topics such as imports of American autos and agricultural products.

During the visit, which will run until Friday, Ryosei Akazawa, who serves as economic and fiscal policy minister, will meet with officials including U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent.
