KUALA LUMPUR (Reuters) -- There is a possibility that Malaysia can negotiate a reduction in threatened U.S. tariffs as Washington has agreed to further talks, but the global trade war means economic growth is likely to be below target this year, Malaysia's prime minister said on Monday.

Malaysia's exports to the U.S. in July will be slapped with a tariff of 24% unless the countries strike an agreement beforehand.
