WASHINGTON -- The administration of U.S. President Donald Trump held a flurry of trade talks with counterparts on Thursday, as representatives gathered in the American capital for a meeting of the Group of 20 finance ministers and central bank governors.

Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent met with Japanese Finance Minister Katsunobu Kato for 50 minutes, where Kato called the U.S. tariff measures "extremely regrettable."
