SEOGWIPO, South Korea -- U.S. Trade Representative Jamieson Greer met with South Korea's leading shipbuilders on Friday to discuss possible cooperation in the industry, as he visits the South Korean resort island of Jeju to participate in the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) trade ministers gathering.

Greer met with HD Hyundai Vice Chairman Chung Ki-sun, during which the shipbuilder proposed collaboration on port crane manufacturing, technology development and skilled workforce training programs.
