SAO PAOLO/BEIJING -- Argentina and Brazil are preparing to boost agricultural exports to China, seeking to take advantage of the anticipated escalation of Beijing-Washington trade tensions during a second Donald Trump administration.

Argentina will soon begin exporting wheat to China. In early December, Gustavo Idigoras, chairman of grain export industry group CIARA-CEC, said that Argentina's wheat prices this year are the most competitive in the world.
