China posts surprise November export growth after six-month decline

Demand picks up for cars and phones but rebound may not last, analysts say

SHANGHAI -- China's exports in November unexpectedly rose for the first time in half a year, driven by demand for cars and mobile phones, in an upbeat sign for the key manufacturing sector.

But analysts cautioned that the broken string of monthly declines may not last, and imports posted a surprise decline on falling purchases of oil and agricultural products.
