HO CHI MINH CITY -- Vietnam's economy grew 5.66% in the January-March quarter from a year earlier, down from 6.7% the previous quarter, as productions of smartphones and automobiles dropped, official data showed Friday.

Exports of goods increased 17% in dollar terms in the first quarter, recovering from a 4.4% decline in the full year of 2023, according to the General Statistics Office.
