TOKYO -- Japanese trading house Itochu is discussing partnership opportunities with Warren Buffett's Berkshire Hathaway after securing an apparel tie-up, Chief Financial Officer Tsuyoshi Hachimura told Nikkei.

Itochu announced this month that it obtained master licensing rights in Asia for Fruit of The Loom, an apparel brand operated by a Berkshire Hathaway subsidiary. It aims to achieve 20 billion yen ($124 million) in sales in five years.
