SAPPORO, Japan -- As the top annual carbon emitter, China should do its part to financially support poorer countries suffering from the impact of global warming, the U.S. climate chief suggested in an interview on Sunday.
"If you can help humanity to save lives and have a fair solution to this challenge, we need to all be part of that, for sure," John Kerry, the U.S. special presidential envoy for climate, told Nikkei Asia.
