TOKYO -- Central banks are beginning to back away from very hawkish monetary policies, slowing the pace of interest rate hikes or pausing them, as top-line inflation, recently at multiyear highs, appears to be peaking in some countries.
But how long will it be before central bankers can relax their grip?
