TOKYO -- Russia's increasingly strict censorship of the war in Ukraine is forcing independent voices into silence, said Galina Timchenko, a Russian journalist and CEO of the independent news website Meduza.

"The administration is using propaganda to paint a picture of a united Russia," Timchenko said in a recent online interview with Nikkei.
