TOKYO -- Indonesia's strategic policy of leveraging its rich mineral resources to develop domestic industries needs more investment from global companies, its vice foreign minister told Nikkei Asia.

President Joko "Jokowi" Widodo's administration has adopted a policy of promoting the development of domestic processing industries for nickel and other commodities rather than exporting the raw materials.
