KYOTO -- Japanese motor maker Nidec is considering making an acquisition of up to 1 trillion yen ($6.6 billion) and is considering three candidates in Europe and the U.S., said Chairman Shigenobu Nagamori, who has been focusing on the group's mergers and acquisitions strategy since stepping down as CEO in April.
