PALO ALTO, U.S. -- Artificial intelligence and biotechnology are developing exponentially, shaking society and raising tough questions about how people should react and adapt.

Michael Sandel, an American political philosopher and professor at Harvard University, says the future course of such powerful technology should not be left to companies and experts alone, arguing that public discussion must play a key role in its development.
