TOKYO -- Norway aims to expand cooperation with Japan in renewable energy and green technologies, Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Stoere told Nikkei Asia in an interview during a visit to Tokyo to meet with Japanese counterpart, Fumio Kishida.

Stoere said offshore wind power presents "an obvious opportunity" for collaboration. "Japan has a real opportunity with this long coastline. I think Norway has experience here in offshore installations, an offshore experience that we can share."
