Bloc aims to help broad range of nations create new rules for changing field

HIROSHIMA, Japan/BRUSSELS -- The Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development plans to update its guidelines on regulating artificial intelligence to cover generative AI, Secretary-General Mathias Cormann told Nikkei recently.

The 38-nation bloc aims to deal with the unique challenges presented by the advent of generative AI and its ability to create complex text and images, such as how to protect human content creators.
