TOKYO -- Thailand's first data-driven digital lending startup, ABACUS digital plans to expand its Money Thunder digital lending platform, sensing new opportunities in the country's market for small loans.

Sutapa Amornvivat, founder and CEO of ABACUS digital, in a recent interview with Nikkei Asia, revealed that downloads of the company's mobile app reached 19 million, and its lending rose sixfold in 2023. It aims to keep the growth momentum going with an initial public offering by the end of next year.
