SYDNEY -- Russia's exit from the Black Sea grain deal nearly a month ago is a shock for 345 million people, who were already facing severe food insecurity, the executive director of the World Food Programme (WFP) said in an interview.

Cindy McCain, who spoke with Nikkei Asia during a visit to Fiji and Australia, accused Moscow of "using food as a weapon of war."
