NEW YORK -- Donald Trump's return to the White House could spur a resurgence in mergers and acquisitions through deregulation, according to JPMorgan Chase President Daniel Pinto.

"After 2025, if the regulator's review process can be completed in the usual three to six months, M&A activity will likely increase in all industries," Pinto, who is also chief operating officer at the U.S. banking group, said in an interview.
