TOKYO -- Furniture retailer Nitori Holdings expects pretax profit to climb 14% to 100 billion yen ($907 million) in the fiscal year through February 2018, riding a surge of new metropolitan-area outlets and improved products, as well as attractive renovations at existing stores.
Should results fall in line with the Tokyo-based company's projection, which it announced Tuesday, this would be its first time reaching 100 billion yen in pretax profit and mark 31 straight years of growth.
