Quakes could leave 20bn yen in damage to Sony

TOKYO -- The earthquakes still rumbling under Kumamoto Prefecture could inflict more damage than Sony is insured for -- 20 billion yen ($184 million) -- the Japanese corporation said on Thursday.

Sony's main image sensor plant is in the southwestern prefecture, and the factory has been damaged by the series of tremors. Operations remain suspended.
