'Shang-Chi' star Simu Liu: 'We're stronger when we don't put up walls'

Chinese-born Canadian actor on life as a superhero and breaking down barriers to China

NEW YORK -- On a chilly morning in New York last month, Chinese-born Canadian actor Simu Liu sat on a stool in front of a green screen.

Looking tired from all the excitement, but still relaxed in a tight navy sweater and gelled-back hair, the "Shang-Chi" star greeted this reporter with a soft smile in a temporary television studio set up in a midtown hotel.
