SINGAPORE -- Hundreds of thousands of Taylor Swift fans are set to descend on Singapore for the American megastar's concerts here next March, underscoring the city-state's growing status as a pop culture destination.
When tickets for the Singapore leg of Swift's world tour went on general sale at noon on July 7, fans were waiting in lines at post offices across the country. Though tickets could also be reserved online, worries that a wave of traffic could take the site out of commission led many "Swifties" to opt for the tried-and-true method of lining up overnight.
