OSAKA/TOKYO -- World Expo 2025 kicks off in Osaka on Sunday, providing opportunities for countries and businesses to showcase innovative technologies, with aerospace, health care and artificial intelligence among the popular themes.

The fair, with exhibitions from nearly 160 countries, will be held on Yumeshima, a man-made island in Osaka Bay. Running for six months through Oct. 13, the spectacle is expected to attract 28.2 million visitors.
