HONG KONG -- Four years after the death of American scholar Ezra Vogel, known for his extensive work on Japan and China, a university in the central Japanese city of Nagoya is preparing to share a major portion of his academic heritage.
Aichi University, an institution that traces its roots to Shanghai, aims to set up an Ezra Vogel Library by mid-2025. It will draw on a Vogel family donation of over 3,600 books, documents, journals, reports, theses and other materials from personal collections kept at their residence in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
