HONG KONG (Jul 10) -- Hong Kong-listed Geely Automobile Holdings on Monday said it expects net profit for the first half of 2017 to more than double on year.

A "large increase" in overall sales volume and improvement in product mix helped top line, the company said in an exchange filing.

Last week, Geely raised its full-year sales volume target by 10% to 1,100,000 units, citing "continued strong sales performance of the group's products and the initial good market feedback for upcoming new models to be launched in the remainder of the year."
