HK-Listed BYD Sells 7,330 Electric Vehicles In January, Total Sales At 42,338

HONG KONG (Feb 08) -- Hong Kong-listed BYD Company, a maker of electric vehicles, said it sold a total of 42,338 vehicles in January of which 7,330 were in the electric and hybrid-electric category.

Sales of traditional, oil-fueled vehicles totaled 35,008 during the month, the company said in an exchange release.

This was made up of 15,068 minivans, or MPVs, 12,354 sedans and 7,586 sport utility vehicles, or SUVs.
