Lafarge Malaysia: Mario Bastian Gross To Replace Legrand As CEO From April 1

KUALA LUMPUR (Mar 12) -- Lafarge Malaysia, a cement maker, said Monday Mario Bastian Gross will replace Thierry Marie Robert Legrand as Chief Executive Officer with effect from Apr. 1 this year.

Gross, 39, joined Lafarge Malaysia from Sika AG, the company said in an exchange filing. In 2013, he assumed his most recent role, Head of Global Procurement, Quality & Sustainability of Sika AG, Zurich.

Legrand who was appointed to the post on Aug. 14, 2015, has tendered a letter of resignation dated Feb. 23 this year. He will also resign as Executive Director of the company.
