KUALA LUMPUR (Sep 15) -- Berjaya Food, which runs Kenny Rogers Roasters and Starbucks Coffee chains in Malaysia, said Friday its fiscal first quarter net profit grew 6.7% on year driven by additional cafes operating.
Net profit for the three months ended Jul. 31 stood at 5.34 million ringgit ($1.27 million) versus net profit of 5.00 million ringgit a year earlier, the company said in an exchange filing. Quarterly revenue was up 9.2% to 154.39 million ringgit against 141.37 million.
