Tokyo market cap hits record on rising foreign investment

The Nikkei Stock Average's closing price on Friday was the highest in 15 years, helping lift the market capitalization of the Tokyo Stock Exchange's first section to a 25-year high.

TOKYO -- Japan's stock market capitalization topped records for the first time in about 25 years Friday, as structural changes in the country's capital market attract more foreign investors.
