TOKYO -- Eight major Japanese drugstore chains are all on track to post record operating profits for fiscal 2015, thanks to robust prescription sales and expanded food offerings.
Create SD Holdings will likely report a 34% year-on-year jump in operating profit for the nine months ended Monday to an all-time high of around 10 billion yen ($87 million) on sales of roughly 170 billion yen, up 8%. Both exceeded projections, and the company is expected to also top forecasts for the full year through May.
