China State Construction raises contracted sales target

HONG KONG -- Hong Kong's leading construction contractor China State Construction International on Monday revised up its new contract value target for the year to 83 billion Hong Kong dollars ($10.7 billion) from the original HK$78 billion.

The announcement followed the company's positive results for the first half ended June, when it booked a 20.4% increase in net profits to HK$2.25 billion, or 55.32 Hong Kong cents earnings per share. Total revenue climbed 10.7% to HK$18.85 billion.
