By Amy Lam
Nikkei Markets
HONG KONG (Feb 26) -- Chinese apparel maker JNBY Design is on the lookout for distribution agents in Europe, its Co-Founder and Chairman Ken Wu said on Monday.

The company was "preparing for international expansion, and is searching for European distribution channel agents," Wu said at a media briefing in Hong Kong to detail the company's earnings for the six months ended Dec. 31.

JNBY had 1,768 self- and distributor-operated stores as of Dec. 31, out of which 40 were outside mainland China.

The company reported a 36.8% year-on-year increase in half-yearly net profit to 311.9 million ($49.4 million) earlier on Monday, on a 26.2% increase in total revenue to 1.65 billion yuan.

Its shares jumped 9.9% in Hong Kong after the results.
