KUALA LUMPUR (NewsRise) -- Maxis plans to buy the remaining 25% stake in Advanced Wireless Technologies for 15.8 million ringgit ($3.53 million) from a sister company in a deal that would give the Malaysian telecom firm full ownership of the wireless services operator.
The deal to buy AWT from a unit of Astro Malaysia Holdings will allow Maxis to streamline its group structure, the company said in an exchange filing.
