Toshiba trims net loss $212m in corrected earnings

TOKYO -- Toshiba has corrected earnings for the year ended March 31 to reflect feedback from its auditor, cutting 23.2 billion yen ($212 million) from the net loss announced May 12.

The Japanese electronics maker changed its net loss figure Monday from 483.2 billion yen to 460 billion yen. The operating loss was trimmed from 719.1 billion yen to 708.7 billion yen. Impairment losses on nuclear power operations were lowered from 263.5 billion yen to 247.6 billion yen, while tax liabilities were reduced by around 15.2 billion yen.
