World Bank cuts next year's growth aim to 4.5%

KUALA LUMPUR (NewsRise) - The World Bank on Friday cut Malaysia's economic growth estimate for the next year on concerns over tighter government and consumer spending that would potentially squeeze domestic demand.

The multilateral agency forecasts Malaysia's economy to grow 4.5% next year, slower than its earlier estimate of a 4.7% expansion.
