More than three years after the Taliban's return to power, Afghanistan is ensnared in a deepening economic and humanitarian crisis. The international community's approach -- characterized by sanctions, frozen assets and a significant reduction in aid -- has led to widespread suffering among ordinary Afghans. This strategy, aimed at pressuring the Taliban regime, has inadvertently exacerbated the plight of millions and poses broader risks to regional stability.
