When emailing a letter to us via firstname.lastname@example.org, please include your full name, daytime telephone number, address and, where relevant, your title and place of work.
We do not accept anonymous submissions and will, in most cases, publish your name, title and general location -- e.g. Tokyo, Japan -- but not your address.
Letters should be kept short, to 500 words at most. Please bear in mind that most readers will not share your specialized knowledge so keep the language simple. Please avoid insults or tirades. If you are challenging an argument, please address the points in question and avoid personal attacks on the author. We reserve the right to turn down submissions and to edit letters.
You will retain ownership of the copyright of your letter, so that you can reuse it as you wish. But by submitting your letter you grant the Nikkei Asian Review, for free, a right to edit, publish, re-use, archive, modify, or delete your piece as we see fit.
But please don't let these conditions put you off. We want to encourage you to write and stimulate debate even when we might disagree with what you say.
