On April 13, North Korea launched a ballistic missile toward the Sea of Japan. According to Japan's Defense Ministry, the North possibly fired an intercontinental ballistic missile, and there were initial fears that it might fall on Japan.
This unacceptable and brazen act has only heightened tensions in Northeast Asia and deepened anxiety among the Japanese public.
