The United Nations is not adequately fulfilling its role at a time when it should be responding to ongoing global crises. The situation has grown extremely serious and demands immediate reforms at the U.N.

At the U.N. General Assembly meeting in late September, the leaders of the organization's 193 member states gathered for the general debate. Many called for reform of the Security Council, which, in its dysfunction, has not been able to effectively address the war in Ukraine and other crises.
